On the reaction day the stock moved 0.2 pts less than Nifty Midcap 150 and 3.1 pts less than its Refineries & Marketing peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2025 rose to Rs 3,830.37 crore from Rs 631.18 crore; consolidated profit was Rs 3,859.30 crore versus Rs 142.67 crore. Refining margin improved to $5.95 a barrel from $4.03. The government will pay Rs 7,920 crore LPG compensation in 12 monthly instalments from November. The board declared a Rs 5 interim dividend. The review was unmodified, but joint auditors changed during the year.
Profit and margin gains support the dividend. LPG compensation aids liquidity, but refinery disruption and the negative LPG buffer remain risks.
