The board approved Hindustan Tin Works' audited financial results for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2025. Total income for FY25 came in at Rs. 42,936.64 lakhs versus Rs. 41,935.36 lakhs in FY24, roughly flat year-on-year. Profit before tax fell sharply from Rs. 2,304.12 lakhs to Rs. 1,617.43 lakhs, a drop of around 30%, mainly due to higher operating expenses. Profit after tax stood at Rs. 1,039.97 lakhs with EPS of Rs. 11.19. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.80 per share (8%) subject to shareholder approval. Statutory auditors Mukesh Raj & Co. issued an unmodified opinion but flagged an Emphasis of Matter around pending balance confirmations from certain debtors, creditors and vendors.
Flat top line and a notable 30% drop in pre-tax profit suggest margin pressure, though dividend continuity and clean audit opinion offer some comfort. The Emphasis of Matter on unconfirmed balances is a watch-item but does not change the auditor's clean opinion.
