Tax assessment order of about Rs 55.72 lakh for AY 2017-18 under Haryana Entry Tax Act

Hindustan Tin Works received an order from the Excise and Taxation Officer-cum-Assessing Authority, Sonipat under Section 9(1)(C) of the Haryana Tax on Entry of Goods into Local Areas Act, 2008 for assessment year 2017-18. The demand is Rs 27.86 lakh as tax plus Rs 27.86 lakh as interest, totaling about Rs 55.72 lakh. The company plans to challenge the order before the Appellate Authority and says it reasonably expects a favourable outcome at the appeal stage. It also states there is no material impact on operations or other activities.
