Board approved Hindustan Zinc's unaudited Q2 FY26 results. Consolidated total operating revenue rose 3.6% to Rs 8,549 crore from Rs 8,252 crore a year ago; net profit rose 14% to Rs 2,649 crore from Rs 2,327 crore, with EPS of Rs 6.27. Operating margin improved to 42% from 40%. Auditors gave an unmodified review but highlighted short-seller allegations; management calls them baseless and made no adjustment.
Profit and margins improved, which may support the stock, but short-seller allegations and regulator scrutiny remain a risk for investors.
