The Board approved an additional Rs 2,000 crore capex for a greenfield power transformers facility in Gujarat, taking cumulative capex to Rs 4,000 crore. An exceptional item of Rs 54.24 crore was recorded for Labour Code impact. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (unqualified) opinion.
The company delivered exceptional growth with PAT more than doubling and EBITDA margins expanding significantly, signalling strong operational leverage. The record order backlog and expanded capex programme indicate confidence in sustained growth, which should be positive for the stock. The clean audit opinion removes any concerns about financial reporting quality.
