The Dubai Court of Appeal reduced damages in the Honasa versus RSM General Trading case from about AED 25 million to AED 1.7 million. The Court noted RSM had breached contractual obligations, including failing to meet sales targets. Honasa will appeal to Dubai's Cassation Court within 30 days. Earlier, Delhi High Court granted an anti-enforcement injunction blocking RSM from enforcing any Dubai judgment in India. Arbitration in India is still ongoing, so the Dubai judgment is not currently executable in India.
Damages cut sharply, limiting financial exposure, but the company is still appealing. Enforcement in India is blocked via Delhi High Court injunction.
