Honda India Power Products reported total revenue of Rs 86,545 lakhs for FY2026, up 9% from Rs 79,423 lakhs in FY2025. However, profit after tax declined sharply to Rs 6,424 lakhs from Rs 7,994 lakhs in the prior year, a fall of approximately 19.6%. EPS dropped to Rs 63.33 from Rs 78.81. The Board declared a dividend of Rs 13 per share (130%), subject to shareholder approval at the AGM. Exceptional items of Rs 185 lakhs were recognized due to the new Indian Labour Codes (gratuity Rs 702 lakhs and compensated absences Rs 297 lakhs). Statutory auditors B S R & Co. LLP issued an unmodified opinion. Key leadership changes include the appointment of Mr. Sameer Jain as Chief Corporate Officer and Whole-Time Director, succeeding Mr. Vinay Mittal who retires in September 2026.
Revenue growth of ~9% was outpaced by a near-20% decline in profitability, driven largely by labour code compliance costs, which may concern investors focused on margin preservation.
