Honda India Power Products reported FY2026 revenue of Rs 86,545 lakhs, up 8.96% from Rs 79,423 lakhs in FY2025. However, profit after tax declined 19.64% to Rs 6,424 lakhs from Rs 7,994 lakhs previously. EPS dropped to Rs 63.33 from Rs 78.81. EBITDA margin compressed from 15.45% to 13.17% due to higher material costs and purchase of stock-in-trade. The company recorded an exceptional item of Rs 185 lakhs related to new Labour Codes impact (gratuity Rs 702 lakhs and compensated absences Rs 297 lakhs). The board recommended a final dividend of Rs 13 per share (130%). Statutory auditors B S R & Co. LLP issued an unmodified opinion. The board also approved appointment of Mr. Sameer Jain as Chief Corporate Officer and Whole-Time Director from July 2026 and September 2026 respectively, succeeding Mr. Vinay Mittal who retires in September 2026.
Despite revenue growth, the sharp PAT decline and margin compression are concerning for shareholders. The positive signal is the company maintaining a strong dividend payout and cash position of Rs 6,633 lakhs, suggesting financial stability despite lower profitability.
