HUDCO reported standalone total income of Rs 13,150.40 crore for FY2026, up 27.5% from Rs 10,311.29 crore in FY2025. Net profit after tax surged 48.9% to Rs 4,034.37 crore versus Rs 2,709.14 crore. EPS (basic) grew from Rs 13.53 to Rs 20.15. The Board recommended final dividend of Rs 1.50 per share, bringing total FY2025-26 dividend to Rs 6.05 per share. The company raised Rs 1,422 crore through perpetual debt securities during Q4. However, debt equity ratio increased to 6.43 from 5.72, indicating higher leverage. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion but included four Emphasis of Matter paragraphs regarding RBI non-compliance, independent director shortfall, and deferred tax treatment.
Strong bottom-line growth with PAT up ~49% but auditors flagged RBI compliance risks and governance gaps. The company has requested RBI extension for meeting Principal Business Criteria and divestment conditions. Increased leverage (D/E at 6.43x) and rising debt (Rs 1,41,390 crore outstanding) warrant monitoring.
