The Board of Directors of Woodsvilla Limited approved the audited financial results for the quarter and financial year ended 31 March 2025 at a meeting held on 14 May 2025. Statutory auditor Rakesh Raj & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements with no Key Audit Matters reported. Full-year revenue rose modestly to Rs. 70.94 lakh from Rs. 68.81 lakh (about 3% growth). Profit after tax jumped sharply to Rs. 17.42 lakh from Rs. 1.59 lakh, but the improvement was driven mainly by higher other income (Rs. 13.04 lakh vs Rs. 1.88 lakh) and a deferred tax credit, while core operations remained in a loss of Rs. 2.32 lakh. Cash and equivalents stood at Rs. 26.49 lakh versus Rs. 35.92 lakh a year earlier, and Q4 revenue fell about 46% year-on-year to Rs. 11.49 lakh.
A clean audit and swing to full-year profit are positives for shareholders, but the headline earnings beat is largely supported by non-operating items rather than the core business. The sharp Q4 revenue drop and continued operating loss suggest underlying business weakness that investors should track in coming quarters.
