Videocon Industries, under CIRP since June 2018, submitted its unaudited results for Q2/H1 FY25 (quarter ended Sep 30, 2024) with a massive delay, signed by Resolution Professional Abhijit Guhathakurta in February 2026. Revenue from operations stood at ₹1,663.72 crore for Q2 and ₹3,278.54 crore for H1, essentially flat versus the prior year. The company reported a loss of ₹24,104.41 crore for Q2 and ₹46,502.76 crore for H1, compared to ₹20,311.54 crore and ₹39,606.76 crore respectively a year earlier, driven mainly by huge finance costs of ₹44,846.52 crore in H1. Other equity is deeply negative at ₹(3,91,026.89) crore, borrowings are ₹6,53,868.24 crore, and operating cash flow was negative at ₹(1,334.53) crore. The auditor (GAMP & Co.) issued a Disclaimer of Conclusion due to inability to verify records, and explicitly flagged material uncertainty around the company's ability to continue as a going concern. Trading in the stock has been suspended on BSE and NSE since June 16, 2021.
These results confirm a deeply distressed company with negligible revenue, massive accumulated losses, negative net worth, and an ongoing insolvency process — there is no operating business value for shareholders, and the stock remains suspended from trading. For existing shareholders, outcomes are entirely dependent on the final resolution plan approved under CIRP; recovery, if any, will be as per the IBC waterfall.
