Mrs. Ganga Devi Bansal, part of the promoter group of India Finsec Limited, has pledged 17,38,000 shares (5.95% of total share capital) with Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited on 17th February 2026. The pledge was created against intra-day margin requirements with the broker, reportedly for personal use. The promoter group collectively holds 55.98% (1,63,42,062 shares) in the company. Notably, encumbered shares account for a very high 81.74% of total promoter shareholding, with multiple existing pledges already in place on shares held by Gopal Bansal, Manoj Sharma, Gopal Bansal LLP, Sunita Bansal and Daisy Distributors Private Limited. The value of the newly encumbered shares is approximately Rs. 32.80 crore.
Although this is a routine margin-pledge with a broker for personal use rather than a distress signal in isolation, the very high aggregate pledge ratio (81.74% of promoter holdings already encumbered) is a red flag for shareholders — any adverse market move or margin shortfall could trigger invocation, potentially leading to forced sale of promoter shares and pressure on the stock price.
