India Lease Development Ltd reported a standalone net loss of Rs. 5.52 lakhs for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025), a sharp improvement from a Rs. 44.30 lakh loss in the same quarter last year. Loss before tax narrowed to Rs. 6.60 lakhs from Rs. 44.30 lakhs, with EPS at Rs. (5.69). The company posted a strong Other Comprehensive Income of Rs. 1,470.02 lakhs, mainly from fair value changes, taking Total Comprehensive Income to about Rs. 1,464.50 lakhs. The statutory auditor (Jagdish Chand & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review report but drew attention to fair value changes in long-term investments not being recorded in these results, expected to be taken up at year-end.
The big narrowing of quarterly losses and a large OCI boost are positive optics, but the company's own note flags cumulative losses and reliance on asset realization to meet liabilities, which keeps the going concern uncertainty alive for shareholders.
