Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, along with Persons Acting in Concert (DPVL Ventures LLP and Dalmia Power Limited), has disclosed an open market sale of 1,71,11,114 equity shares (about 1.92% of current capital) of Indian Energy Exchange Ltd under SEBI SAST Regulations 2011. The combined holding of these entities has come down from 15.53% (4.65 crore shares) to 13.25% (11.81 crore shares) — a reduction of roughly 2.28 percentage points. The sales happened in multiple tranches from September 2021 to 2nd June 2025, with the bulk of the recent reduction (1.49 crore shares, 1.68%) carried out by Dalmia Cement in May–June 2025. The sellers are clearly stated to NOT belong to the promoter/promoter group of IEX. This is a cumulative disclosure covering all tranches since the last reporting.
Non-promoter investor steadily trimming its stake could create mild supply-side pressure on IEX in the near term. However, because the disclosures are spread over nearly four years and involve multiple small tranches, the immediate price impact is likely to be limited. Retail investors should watch for further tranches from the same set of sellers, as continued selling could weigh on sentiment.
