Indian Hume Pipe Company reported Q3 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹28,205.69 lakhs, down about 26% from ₹38,061.79 lakhs in the same quarter last year. For the nine months ended December 2025, revenue fell roughly 13% to ₹95,427.08 lakhs versus ₹109,912.95 lakhs a year earlier. Net profit for nine months jumped to ₹11,812.74 lakhs from ₹5,878.23 lakhs, but almost entirely due to a one-time exceptional gain of ₹6,433.35 lakhs from the sale of its Hyderabad land to ASBL Private Limited for ₹17,395.99 lakhs. Excluding this exceptional item, core nine-month profit was actually lower year-on-year. Statutory auditor K.S. Aiyar & Co. issued an unmodified (clean) limited review report.
The headline profit growth is driven by a non-recurring land sale rather than improvement in the core construction business, which is clearly slowing. With revenue contracting, investors should focus on underlying earnings power rather than the inflated reported PAT; the exceptional gain is unlikely to repeat.
