Indian Hume Pipe Company reported annual revenue from operations of ₹130,556.83 lakhs for FY26, down from ₹149,123.14 lakhs in FY25 — a revenue decline of about 12.4%. Profit after tax fell to ₹14,111.06 lakhs from ₹55,805.24 lakhs last year, largely because FY25 included a one-time exceptional gain of ₹54,522.05 lakhs from selling land in Bengaluru to Godrej Properties. This year, the company recorded a smaller exceptional gain of ₹6,433.35 lakhs from selling land in Hyderabad to ASBL Private Limited. Stripping out exceptional items, operating profit before tax rose to ₹12,334.69 lakhs from ₹11,806.88 lakhs, showing modest underlying improvement. The Board recommended a total dividend of ₹5 per share (250%), including a special ₹3 per share dividend to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary. Statutory auditors K.S. Aiyar & Co. issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial results.
The sharp drop in net profit is misleading — it reflects a much smaller exceptional gain this year versus last year's windfall land sale. Core operations show marginal improvement, and the generous dividend signals management confidence. The clean audit opinion removes going-concern concerns.
