Indian Hume Pipe Company reported FY2026 annual results with total revenue of Rs 1,35,039 lakhs, down 10% from Rs 1,50,017 lakhs in FY2025. Revenue from operations declined to Rs 1,30,557 lakhs from Rs 1,49,123 lakhs. Profit after tax fell significantly to Rs 14,111 lakhs from Rs 55,805 lakhs in the previous year, primarily due to much lower exceptional items (Rs 6,433 lakhs from Hyderabad land sale vs Rs 54,522 lakhs from Bengaluru land sale in FY2025). The company recommended a total dividend of Rs 5 per share (250%), including a special Rs 3 per share dividend to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Statutory auditors K.S. Aiyar & Co issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial results. The Board also approved re-appointment of Ms. Anima B. Kapadia as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, who will turn 75 in July 2026.
The significant PAT decline reflects the absence of large exceptional gains seen in FY2025, though underlying operations remain profitable. The clean auditor opinion and maiden/special dividend declaration signal financial stability. Investors should note the revenue decline in the core construction segment and monitor future performance.
