The Board of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA), at its meeting on May 21, 2025, approved the audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025, audited by Walker Chandiok & Co LLP with an unmodified opinion. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 5 per equity share (50% on face value of Rs. 10), subject to shareholder approval. Standalone FY25 revenue from operations fell about 7.8% year-on-year to Rs. 2,564.57 crore, while profit after tax rose roughly 4% to Rs. 378.09 crore, with EPS at Rs. 70.08 versus Rs. 67.41 last year. The Board also approved the re-appointment of Mrs. Latha Ravindran and appointment of Ms. Kiran Dhingra as Independent Directors, new Secretarial and Cost Auditors, and the incorporation of a new wholly owned subsidiary named 'Metallix Aviation Private Limited'. Prior-period figures were restated following the merger of wholly owned subsidiary Utkal Coal Limited into the company.
The Rs. 5 per share final dividend is a positive signal for income-seeking shareholders, supported by strong operating cash flow of Rs. 586 crore and a healthy equity base. However, the year-on-year revenue decline and weak Q4 performance (revenue down about 19% YoY) in the core ferro alloys segment may temper near-term sentiment, even as profitability held up.
