The President of India, acting through the Ministry of Railways (the promoter), proposes to sell up to 13.07 crore equity shares (1% of paid-up capital) of IRFC through an Offer for Sale on BSE and NSE on June 24, 2026 (non-Retail) and June 25, 2026 (Retail and Employees). There is an oversubscription option for an additional 13.07 crore shares (another 1%), taking the total to 2%. The floor price is set at Rs 91 per share with no retail or employee discount. Up to 25,000 shares are reserved for employees. Goldman Sachs is the sole broker. The sale is aimed at meeting the minimum public shareholding requirement under SEBI rules.
Short-term supply addition from government stake sale may pressure IRFC stock. Final clearing price depends on bidding demand during the OFS window on June 24-25.
