IRFC reported its highest-ever PAT of Rs 7,009.17 crore for FY26, up 7.80% from Rs 6,502 crore in FY25. Total income grew marginally to Rs 27,338 crore from Rs 27,156 crore. EPS improved to Rs 5.36 from Rs 4.98. The company maintained zero NPA status and achieved record AUM of Rs 4.85 lakh crore with total assets crossing Rs 5 lakh crore. Net worth reached Rs 56,749 crore, while NIM improved to 1.50%. The company is diversifying from traditional railway financing into metro, ports, power, and fertilizer sectors, having sanctioned Rs 72,949 crore and disbursed Rs 35,067 crore during the year. The auditor issued an unmodified opinion.
The strong PAT growth and record AUM signal successful diversification strategy execution. The emphasis of matter on Rs 1.65 lakh crore lease receivables recognition (pending formal lease agreements) warrants monitoring. The high debt-equity ratio of 7.69 remains a concern for risk-conscious investors.
