IRFC reported its highest-ever PAT of Rs 7,009.17 crore for FY26, up 7.80% from Rs 6,502 crore in FY25. Total income remained flat at Rs 27,284 crore vs Rs 27,152 crore. Q4 PAT stood at Rs 1,684 crore. Net worth reached a record Rs 56,749 crore, while AUM crossed Rs 4.85 lakh crore for the first time. EPS improved to Rs 5.36 from Rs 4.98. The company shifted from traditional railway financing to diversified infrastructure lending, sanctioning Rs 72,949 crore and disbursing Rs 35,067 crore. NIM improved to 1.50%. Auditors issued an unmodified opinion but included an Emphasis of Matter on recognition of lease receivables of Rs 1,64,769 crore for EBR IF projects where lease agreements are still under process as of reporting date.
The company shows healthy profit growth and balance sheet expansion. However, the extremely high debt-equity ratio of 7.69 and the large lease receivable recognition (where agreements are not yet executed) warrant monitoring. The Emphasis of Matter is a standard auditor disclosure but not a qualification.
