On the reaction day the stock moved 0.3 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 0.9 pts more than its Financial Institution peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
IREDA has completed its Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) of equity shares. The board approved the allotment of approximately 12.15 crore equity shares to eligible Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) at an issue price of ₹165.14 per share, including a premium of ₹155.14 over the face value of ₹10. The issue was priced at a 5% discount (₹8.69) to the floor price of ₹173.83. The total size of the QIP is approximately ₹2,006 crore. The issue period closed on June 10, 2025, and the placement document was finalized on the same day.
The QIP raises around ₹2,006 crore in fresh capital for IREDA, which will strengthen its lending capacity in the renewable energy sector. However, the 5% discount to the floor price and the large dilution (12.15 crore new shares) may exert short-term pressure on the stock price.
