IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust allotted ₹3,000 crore worth of Non-Convertible Debt Securities (NCDs) via private placement on June 20, 2025, across three series. Series AE raised ₹1,500 crore at 7.28% for a 10-year tenure, Series AF raised ₹1,200 crore at 7.07% for 5 years, and Series AG raised ₹300 crore at 7.01% for 4 years. All three series carry the highest credit rating of AAA/Stable from both CRISIL and ICRA, and will be listed on BSE with a face value of ₹1 lakh per NCD. Repayments are structured as bullet repayments on maturity dates between June 2029 and June 2035, with quarterly interest payments. The securities are senior, secured, and fully paid-up, indicating strong institutional investor appetite for the trust's debt paper.
This successful ₹3,000 crore debt raise at competitive AAA-rated rates reflects strong investor confidence in IndiGrid and provides long-term capital for refinancing or expansion. The move will increase the trust's overall debt, which could slightly pressure distribution yields, but the low coupon and long tenures help keep borrowing costs manageable for unitholders.
