IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust has allotted 9,20,24,539 units to institutional investors at ₹163 per unit through an institutional placement, raising approximately ₹1,500 crore (₹14,99,99,99,857). The issue price reflects a discount of ₹4.42 (~2.64%) on the floor price of ₹167.42 per unit. The issue opened on January 19, 2026 and closed on January 22, 2026. As a result, total outstanding units increased from 86.05 crore to 95.26 crore, a dilution of roughly 10.7%.
The trust raised a large sum of about ₹1,500 crore at a modest 2.64% discount to the floor price, which is generally seen as a healthy placement. The ~10.7% increase in unit count will dilute existing unit-holders, but the capital raise supports IndiGrid's growth or refinancing plans.
