The company reported a sharp decline in core operating revenue, falling about 42% year-on-year to Rs. 37.84 lakhs in Q2 FY26 from Rs. 65.89 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Total income for Q2 FY26 stood at Rs. 158.21 lakhs, with nearly 76% (Rs. 120.37 lakhs) coming from other income, mostly investment-related gains, rather than the core IT-BPO business. Standalone profit after tax dropped to Rs. 77.56 lakhs (Q2 FY26) from Rs. 113.14 lakhs (Q2 FY25), and for H1 FY26, standalone PAT fell about 60% to Rs. 82.85 lakhs from Rs. 210.24 lakhs. Consolidated H1 FY26 PAT was Rs. 120.62 lakhs versus Rs. 232.49 lakhs a year ago. Operating cash flow remained firmly negative at minus Rs. 89 lakhs for the half year, and cash on hand dropped from Rs. 70.52 lakhs to Rs. 31.58 lakhs.
The core IT-BPO business is loss-making on a standalone basis — revenue from operations covers only about half of total expenses, so reported profits are being sustained by investment and other non-operating income. Persistent negative operating cash flow and a shrinking cash balance are red flags for shareholders, indicating the operating business is not self-sustaining.
