Infosys completed its Rs 18,000 crore buyback, buying back 10 crore equity shares at Rs 1,800 per share through the stock exchange tender route. This represents 2.41% of paid-up equity capital and about 21.68% of consolidated free reserves. Tendering ran November 20-26, 2025, settlement was completed December 3, and the shares were extinguished on December 4. Demand was very strong with 825% overall response; the small shareholders category saw 181% response and general category 939%.
Positive for shareholders. Company returned surplus cash, and the 2.41% reduction in share count should support earnings per share going forward.
