Infosys reported Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue of ₹42,279 crore, up 7.5% year-on-year in rupee terms and 4.8% in US dollars to $4,941 million, with constant currency growth of 3.8% YoY. Net profit rose 8.6% YoY to ₹6,924 crore, lifting EPS to ₹16.70 (basic) from ₹15.38 a year ago. Operating margin stood at 20.8%, a small dip of 0.3 percentage points from 21.1% last year, while the company won large deals worth $3.8 billion in total contract value (55% net new) and generated $884 million in free cash flow. Headcount grew to 323,788 with voluntary attrition at 14.4%, and the company completed acquisitions of MRE Consulting and The Missing Link during the quarter. Statutory auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued an unqualified (clean) opinion on both the consolidated and standalone results.
Results were broadly steady but not exciting — in-line revenue growth, a slight margin compression, and ongoing overhangs from the US Department of Justice H-1B visa investigation and the McCamish cybersecurity incident may keep the stock range-bound in the near term, though strong deal wins and consistent cash generation support the longer-term story.
