Intellect Design Arena received a favourable order from CESTAT Chennai on December 15, 2025. The Tribunal set aside a service tax demand of about 36.77 crores plus interest and penalties, raised by the Principal Commissioner of CGST over overseas transactions. A smaller demand of about 1.16 crores was remanded only for payment proof verification, which the company states has already been paid. This significantly reduces the company's contingent liabilities.
Major contingent liability of about 37 crores cleared. Strengthens the company's tax position and lowers future financial risk for shareholders.
