IndiGo Q1 FY27 results: net loss of Rs 238 cr as ATF costs nearly double

IndiGo reported Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs 24,584 crore, up about 20% YoY from Rs 20,496 crore. However, it posted a net loss of Rs 238 crore versus a profit of Rs 2,176 crore in Q1 FY26 as aircraft fuel expenses surged to Rs 10,833 crore from Rs 5,833 crore, driven by West Asia geopolitical tensions. Total expenses of Rs 25,853 crore exceeded total income of Rs 25,614 crore. EPS swung to negative Rs 6.15. DGCA has ordered Rs 50 crore bank guarantees for Dec 2025 disruptions and CCI has ordered an investigation; tax exposure of Rs 24,185 crore remains disputed.
