International Combustion India Ltd reported its Q2 FY26 standalone results, with revenue from operations rising to Rs 7,533.48 lakhs versus Rs 6,000.30 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, a growth of roughly 25%. For the half-year (H1 FY26), revenue grew to Rs 13,570.05 lakhs from Rs 11,985.87 lakhs, up about 13%. Despite the revenue uptick, the company swung to a loss of Rs 81.34 lakhs in H1 FY26 compared with a profit of Rs 198.43 lakhs in H1 FY25. Standalone Q2 profit was a thin Rs 11.94 lakhs versus Rs 21.00 lakhs a year ago, with earnings per share of Rs 0.50. The Building Material segment continued to be a drag, posting segment losses of Rs 173.70 lakhs in H1 FY26. Statutory auditors Ray & Ray issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
While top-line growth is a positive sign, the swing to a half-year loss and continued weakness in the Building Material segment are red flags for shareholders. Margin compression and the absence of profit growth may keep the stock under pressure in the near term despite improving sales.
