Intimation of outcome of Board meeting regarding reclassififcation request from Promoters to Public category under Regulation 31A of the SEBI(LODR) Regulation 2015.
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Burnpur Cement's Board, at its meeting on January 19, 2026, approved the reclassification of two promoters — Shehul Sandip Parikh and Rakhi Parikh — from the 'Promoter/Promoter Group' category to the 'Public' category under SEBI's Regulation 31A. Both individuals currently hold zero equity shares (0% shareholding) in the company. They confirmed they do not exercise control over the company, hold no board seats, have no special rights, and are not wilful defaulters or fugitive economic offenders. Since their combined holding is below 1%, shareholder approval was not required. The company will now apply to NSE and BSE for their no-objection, after which the reclassification will be reflected in the next quarterly shareholding pattern.
This is a procedural housekeeping change with no impact on shareholding or stock price, as both promoters already hold zero shares and have no active role in the company. The reclassification simply formally removes their names from the promoter list.
