IRB Invit Fund has informed the Exchange regarding Disclosure of material issue
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
The Board of Directors of the Investment Manager of IRB InvIT Fund has approved raising funds up to INR 5,000 crores through institutional placement, further public offer, rights issue, or debt instruments (term loans, non-convertible debentures), or a combination of these. The fundraise will be done under SEBI InvIT Regulations, subject to statutory and unitholder approvals. The Board also approved a postal ballot seeking unitholder approval for three key resolutions: acquisition of new assets, entering into a project implementation agreement with IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, and approving the fundraise itself. The acquisitions suggest the InvIT is looking to expand its toll-road or infrastructure asset portfolio.
This is a significant capital raise plan that could lead to dilution for existing unitholders depending on the instrument chosen, but the asset acquisition could expand revenue streams if executed well. The market reaction will depend on the pricing of the eventual fundraise and the quality of assets being acquired.
