Kaithal Tollway Limited (KTL), an SPV under IRB InvIT Fund, won a unanimous arbitration award against NHAI dated February 27, 2026. The Tribunal allowed monetary claims of Rs. 375.20 crore (including interest) related to construction delays caused by NHAI and Force Majeure events. Post-award interest will continue to accrue until realisation. The Tribunal also granted a 582.77-day extension of the Concession Period. Of the Rs. 375.20 crore, Rs. 273.54 crore (plus interest) and 136.77 days of concession extension attributable to NHAI's construction delays must be passed on to sponsor IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd under the transaction documents. The net claim retained at the InvIT level is roughly Rs. 101.66 crore along with the balance concession period extension.
