On the reaction day the stock moved 0.9 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.6 pts more than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Board addressed a fine from NSE and BSE for non-compliance with SEBI LODR rules on board and committee composition for the quarter ended September 2025. IRCON stated that as a Government company, director appointments are made by the President of India through the Ministry of Railways, and IRCON has no role in the process. The fine was called unreasonable. Board also approved designating Shri Sudhir Singh, Director (Projects), as Key Managerial Personnel from 2 January 2026.
Minor near term; fine is being contested and KMP appointment is routine governance. Investors may watch for clarity on the fine amount.
