Isgec Heavy Engineering filed the transcript of its August 14, 2024 earnings call for Q1 FY25 (quarter ended June 30, 2024). Standalone total income rose 7% year-on-year to INR1,243 crore with profit before tax up 42% to INR111 crore, while consolidated income grew 11% to INR1,549 crore with PBT up 33% to INR96 crore. The order book stood strong at INR7,741 crore (consolidated), with new order inflows of INR1,025 crore standalone and INR1,124 crore consolidated during the quarter. Borrowings fell sharply by 54% to INR491 crore, and management guided early double-digit revenue growth for FY25, sustainable manufacturing margins around 13.5%, and a target of becoming debt-free by end of FY25.
Positive for shareholders — strong order book, robust margin guidance, and clear debt-reduction roadmap signal improving financial health, though near-term drag from the Philippines plant's forex losses and dependence on agroclimatic conditions for the sugar/ethanol business remain watchpoints.
