ITI Limited will transfer 22.258 acres of land located in Electronic City, Bangalore to C-DOT for a total consideration of Rs. 200 Crores, as per a revised order from AMRCD (Arbitration and Mediation Centre). The company has already received a further tranche of Rs. 50 Crores from C-DOT under the executed sale agreement. The remaining balance will be paid once ITI completes the remaining statutory formalities. This follows an earlier communication dated July 12, 2024, on the same land dispute between the two entities.
ITI is giving up 22+ acres of Bangalore land but will receive Rs. 200 Crores in cash, which provides a meaningful liquidity boost for the PSU. The land exit resolves a long-pending dispute, though shareholders should weigh the lost land asset against the incoming cash.
