Jagran Prakashan Limited disclosed that the NCLT Allahabad passed an order on 23rd April 2026 (uploaded 29th April), dismissing C.A. Nos. 4, 5 and 6 of 2026 and vacating a stay on the convening of the company's Extra-Ordinary General Meeting. Jagran Media Network Investment Private Limited (JMNIPL) has filed an appeal (C.A. (AT) No. 187 of 2026) before the NCLAT seeking enforcement of a purported resolution dated 14th July 2023. Separately, JPL itself filed an appeal (C.A. (AT) No. 189 of 2026) against the NCLT order, seeking relief against the en masse removal of directors. Both appeals were listed on 14th May 2026 but have now been deferred to 22nd May 2026, as JMNIPL sought time to file additional documents.
The ongoing NCLT/NCLAT proceedings involving contested director removals and a disputed 2023 resolution create significant legal uncertainty for the company. Shareholders should monitor the next hearing date and any material developments.
