Jai Balaji Industries reported a sharp fall in Q3 FY26 profits. Revenue from operations dropped to Rs 1,328.58 crore from Rs 1,486.39 crore in Q3 FY25, a decline of about 10.6%. Net profit collapsed to just Rs 11.55 crore versus Rs 120.42 crore a year ago, a ~90% drop. For the nine months ended December 2025, revenue fell to Rs 4,030.10 crore (from Rs 4,761.27 crore) and profit fell to Rs 108.58 crore (from Rs 482.40 crore). The Board also terminated two old joint venture agreements related to Rohne Coal Company and Andal East Coal Company, saying they will not impact financials. Auditor Das & Prasad issued an unmodified opinion but drew attention to pending Labour Code evaluation and non-consolidation of coal JV financials.
The steep YoY fall in both revenue and profit signals pricing or volume pressure in the steel business and tighter margins, which is negative for near-term sentiment. Termination of inactive coal JVs is housekeeping and neutral for shareholders.
