Jai Corp reported FY25 standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 51,195 lakh, up about 12% from Rs. 45,784 lakh in FY24, driven mainly by the plastic processing segment. Standalone profit after tax rose sharply to Rs. 7,171 lakh from Rs. 5,390 lakh, a growth of roughly 33%, with EPS of Rs. 4.05 versus Rs. 3.02. Consolidated revenue grew to Rs. 51,770 lakh and consolidated PAT came in at Rs. 6,647 lakh versus Rs. 6,248 lakh. The Board approved the audited results but postponed the dividend recommendation. The standalone auditor gave an unmodified (clean) opinion, while the consolidated auditor issued a qualified opinion due to (a) missing financial information from one associate company, and (b) Rs. 2,147 lakh of overdue inter-corporate deposits in a subsidiary under legal recovery, for which no impairment provision has been made.
Strong standalone earnings growth and a buyback of Rs. 143.9 crore during the year are positives for shareholders, but the consolidated audit qualification and the postponement of the dividend may temper sentiment. The overdue receivables in a subsidiary remain an unresolved uncertainty worth tracking.
