Jain Irrigation Systems reported a weak FY25 with standalone revenue from operations falling about 15% to ₹3,25,902 lacs versus ₹3,82,114 lacs last year, while standalone profit after tax nearly halved to ₹2,472 lacs from ₹5,554 lacs. On a consolidated basis, revenue declined about 6% to ₹5,77,934 lacs and PAT from continuing operations fell to ₹2,569 lacs from ₹3,101 lacs. Q4 FY25 showed some sequential improvement, with standalone PAT rising to ₹2,829 lacs from ₹1,060 lacs in Q3. The Plastic Division was the weakest segment, with segment profit dropping to ₹15,237 lacs from ₹23,775 lacs, dragging overall profitability. Operating cash flow remained healthy at ₹48,269 lacs (standalone) and ₹84,277 lacs (consolidated). The statutory auditor Singhi & Co. issued an unmodified, unqualified opinion on both sets of results.
Shareholders should note significant margin compression and a sharp profit decline despite positive operating cash flow, with the Plastic Division underperforming. The clean audit opinion and ongoing debt reduction are positives, but the deteriorating earnings profile may pressure the stock in the near term.
