Jainco Projects (India), an RBI-registered NBFC, posted audited results for FY25 with revenue from operations of Rs. 73.30 lakhs, up 232% from Rs. 22.08 lakhs in FY24. Profit after tax rose to Rs. 0.73 lakhs (from Rs. 0.08 lakhs) and EPS stood at Rs. 0.01. Total assets nearly doubled to Rs. 2,995 lakhs, driven mainly by a sharp increase in loans and advances. However, short-term borrowings surged to Rs. 1,915 lakhs (from Rs. 493 lakhs), pushing the debt-equity ratio to 1.91, and operating cash flow turned deeply negative at Rs. (1,244) lakhs. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion but flagged an Emphasis of Matter on pending balance confirmations from customers, lenders and borrowers.
While top-line growth is strong on a percentage basis, the NBFC's loan book expansion is being funded by heavy short-term borrowings, creating a stretched balance sheet with thin margins and negative operating cash flow — shareholders should monitor debt levels and asset quality closely.
