Jaipan Industries reported FY25 revenue from operations of Rs 2,873.98 lakhs, up about 27.6% from Rs 2,252.36 lakhs in FY24, showing strong top-line growth. However, the company recorded an extraordinary item of Rs 950.13 lakhs as a loss due to fire, which wiped out operating profits. As a result, the company swung from a small profit of Rs 6.96 lakhs in FY24 to a net loss of Rs 1,134.73 lakhs in FY25, with diluted EPS turning negative at Rs (1.86). The statutory auditor (SdA & Associates) issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results. The balance sheet shows total equity of Rs 437.85 lakhs and long-term borrowings of Rs 705.08 lakhs, keeping debt well above equity. Operating cash flow improved from a negative Rs 123.76 lakhs to a positive Rs 6.59 lakhs.
Strong revenue growth is positive, but the fire loss makes this a loss-making year on the bottom line — shareholders face a one-time hit while the underlying business shows signs of recovery. The heavy debt versus thin equity is a watchpoint.
