Jaiprakash Associates Limited submitted its audited financial results for Q4 and FY25 while continuing to be under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP), with Mr. Bhuvan Madan acting as Resolution Professional. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell about 25.5% YoY to ₹3,117 crore (from ₹4,184 crore), while net loss ballooned to ₹4,933 crore (from ₹1,536 crore) after booking exceptional items of ₹3,787 crore, largely impairment of JCCL investments and finance cost reversals. The balance sheet has turned deeply negative with other equity at ₹(1,716) crore and net worth at ₹(6,904) crore, making the debt-equity ratio meaningless. Statutory auditors Dass Gupta & Associates issued modified (qualified) opinions on both standalone and consolidated results, and a Statement on Impact of Audit Qualifications has been filed. On the consolidated side, revenue declined to ₹5,796 crore with a net loss of ₹2,823 crore.
With the company in active CIRP, negative net worth, widening losses, and a qualified audit opinion, shareholders face material uncertainty. The outcome now hinges on the NCLT and CoC approving one of the 5 resolution plans currently under evaluation, and existing equity is at high risk of significant dilution or extinguishment under the IBC process.
