On the reaction day the stock moved 0.1 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.3 pts less than its Power Generation peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Adani Power, new promoter of Jaiprakash Power Ventures (24% stake), created a fresh pledge on 12,00,50,946 JPVL shares (17.52% of capital) and a non-disposal undertaking on 1,02,18,857 shares (1.49%). This follows the JAL insolvency resolution plan approved by NCLT in March 2026. Encumbered shares equal over 50% of promoter holding. Lenders include IDBI, ICICI and SBI-led consortiums.
Large promoter pledge signals leveraged acquisition; risk of margin call if JPVL price falls, but pledge stems from pre-existing JAL debt.
