Jay Bharat Maruti's Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.70 per share (35% on face value of Rs. 2) for FY 2025-26, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM on August 25, 2026. Record date is August 18, 2026. For the full year, standalone revenue grew 11.4% to Rs. 2,550.99 crore, while standalone profit after tax surged to Rs. 1,378.63 crore (vs Rs. 317.96 crore prior year), boosted by a one-time deferred tax credit of Rs. 367.90 crore following a change in MAT provisions. Standalone EPS stood at Rs. 12.74. The company also received Rs. 159.70 crore in Gujarat state incentives during the year. Additionally, the Board approved an enabling resolution for issuing securities up to Rs. 750 crore and proposed voluntary delisting from the Calcutta Stock Exchange while remaining listed on NSE and BSE.
The dividend of Rs. 0.70/share translates to a modest yield of under 0.5% at current market prices. The strong profitability growth and deferred tax benefit are positives, but the dividend itself is small. The securities issuance approval could be dilutive if executed.
