Jayshree Chemicals reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 422.86 lakhs, up from Rs. 367.98 lakhs in Q1 FY25 (about 15% YoY growth). Despite the revenue rise, the company posted a loss after tax of Rs. 2.49 lakhs, though this was narrower than the Rs. 11.38 lakh loss in the year-ago quarter. Exceptional items of Rs. 3.02 lakhs relate to old expenses from the FY16 sale of the caustic soda plant to Grasim Industries. The Windmill Division was sold on slump sale basis for Rs. 276 lakhs (completed 2 July 2025) and the Electric Division was closed, both shown as discontinued operations. Statutory auditors AMK & Associates issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
Revenue is growing but the company remains in losses at the bottom line, though losses are shrinking quarter-on-quarter. The divestment of the loss-making/non-core Windmill and Electric divisions should streamline the business around the Trading Division going forward, which may support future profitability.
