On the reaction day the stock moved 2.5 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.6 pts more than its Tea & Coffee peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Jay Shree Tea posted consolidated revenue of Rs 20,617 lakhs for Q1 FY26 (June 2025), up from Rs 17,749 lakhs a year ago. Net loss narrowed sharply to Rs 594 lakhs from Rs 3,416 lakhs last year, with EPS improving to minus 2.06 from minus 11.83. Tea segment turned profitable at Rs 2,344 lakhs versus Rs 688 lakhs, though Sugar losses widened. The statutory auditor issued a qualified conclusion flagging non-provisioning of income tax liability (current and deferred) as not in line with Ind AS 12. Results are unaudited and being seasonal in nature, are not indicative of full year performance.
Improved loss profile and tea segment turnaround are positives, but qualified auditor opinion on tax provisioning remains a concern for shareholders.
