Jhaveri Credits & Capital reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹982.74 lakhs, down about 19.8% from ₹1,224.92 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Despite the fall in revenue, profit before tax rose to ₹161.09 lakhs from ₹128.04 lakhs, and profit after tax grew to ₹119.09 lakhs from ₹93.42 lakhs, a jump of roughly 27.5% year-on-year. Basic EPS improved to ₹1.33 from ₹1.04. The quarter also marks a sharp recovery from the previous quarter (Q4 FY25), which had posted a loss of ₹100.04 lakhs. The auditor issued an unmodified review report, and no exceptional items or auditor changes were noted.
Profitability improved meaningfully even on lower revenue, indicating better cost control or margin expansion — positive for shareholders. However, the year-on-year drop in top-line sales is a concern worth watching in upcoming quarters.
