Jigar Cables Ltd (BSE SME, Script Code: 540651) reported its H1 FY26 results (April–September 2025). Consolidated net sales fell sharply to Rs. 2,623.41 lakhs from Rs. 6,171.79 lakhs in H1 FY25, a drop of about 57%. Standalone sales similarly fell ~58% to Rs. 2,532.30 lakhs. Consolidated net profit declined ~34% to Rs. 58.58 lakhs (from Rs. 89.36 lakhs), and standalone net profit fell ~32% to Rs. 58.06 lakhs. EPS dropped to Rs. 0.79 from Rs. 1.27. Operating cash flow collapsed from Rs. 202.83 lakhs to just Rs. 7.64 lakhs. The company raised roughly Rs. 748 lakhs via share issuance during the period and used it for heavy capital expenditure (tangible assets jumped from Rs. 508.86 lakhs to Rs. 1,088.79 lakhs). Trade receivables fell dramatically from Rs. 938.60 lakhs to Rs. 56.21 lakhs, and both long-term and short-term borrowings were fully repaid. The auditor (Rushabh R Shah & Co.) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
The steep revenue and profit decline is a clear negative signal for existing shareholders, though part of it may reflect timing of dispatches in a wires & cables business. On the positive side, the balance sheet is much stronger with zero debt, fresh equity, and a massive capex push, suggesting management is investing for future capacity even at the cost of current-year revenue.
