Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Jindal Photo reported a sharp turnaround in Q1FY27 with standalone profit after tax of Rs. 667 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 96 lakhs in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations surged to Rs. 797 lakhs from Rs. 54 lakhs, driven mainly by a net gain on fair value changes of Rs. 789 lakhs. The company is essentially an investment vehicle holding shares and securities in group companies. The auditor flagged an Emphasis of Matter on non-provision of doubtful loans and amounts recoverable from its joint venture Mandakini Coal Company Ltd (MCCL), where coal mine compensation claims and IFCI guarantees remain in dispute. The company also booked a Rs. 733 lakh gain on extending the maturity of its zero-coupon redeemable preference shares. Separately, an Initial Public Announcement has been received for voluntary delisting from BSE/NSE, with shareholder e-voting underway.
Stock may react positively to the return to profit and strong fair-value gains, but the Emphasis of Matter on recoverable amounts from the joint venture and the voluntary delisting process create uncertainty for public shareholders.
